AI Checker App Privacy Policy

AI Checker operates without requiring personal registration or user profiles:

• No Account Creation: You do not need to provide a name, email address, phone number, password, or any personal credentials to use the App.

• Content You Submit for Analysis: When you submit text, images, or video clips to check for AI generation:

• Text: Extracted or typed text is analyzed solely to detect statistical patterns indicative of artificial intelligence. It is not associated with your identity.

• Images: Photos selected via the system photo picker are processed to evaluate synthetic generation signals. Images are downscaled in memory and are not stored in any external database.

• Videos: Videos selected from your device are copied temporarily into an isolated sandbox container during frame extraction and are deleted immediately upon analysis completion.

• On-Device Text Extraction (OCR): When you choose to extract text from images or documents, the optical character recognition is performed on-device using Apple's Vision framework. The image never leaves your device for OCR purposes.

• Local History (SwiftData): Only analyses you explicitly choose to save are stored in your device's local database. These records include the verdict, score, signals, and a small thumbnail.

• User Control: You have complete control over your saved history. You can delete individual records or permanently wipe all saved data at any time via the History tab.

• Keychain Storage: If you optionally supply custom API keys in Settings, they are stored securely in the local iOS Keychain on your device and can be removed at any time.

• Temporary Files: Any temporary cache files created during video sampling are automatically purged when the App is launched.

To detect whether content (text, images, or videos) was generated by artificial intelligence, the App transmits user-submitted content to specialized third-party AI service providers. We adhere strictly to Apple App Store Review Guidelines 5.1.1(i) and 5.1.2(i):

A. What Data Is Collected and Shared

• User-Selected Photos & Images: When you analyze an image, only the specific photo you select via the system photo picker is downscaled and transmitted securely for synthetic pattern analysis.

• User-Provided Text: When you analyze text, only the text you type, paste, or scan is sent for statistical linguistic analysis.

• Sampled Video Frames: When you analyze a video, several preview frames are sampled and sent for visual consistency evaluation. The original video clip remains on your device.

• No Personal Identifiers: We do NOT transmit names, email addresses, user accounts, location data, or device identifiers to any AI service.

B. Who the Data Is Sent To (Third-Party AI Service Providers)

Depending on service configuration and user settings, content may be processed by one or more of the following enterprise AI service providers:

C. All Uses of the Data

Data shared with third-party AI services is used solely and exclusively to perform content analysis and calculate synthetic AI probability scores. The data is never used for advertising, user tracking, profiling, or behavioral analytics.

D. Confirmation of Equal Data Protection

Equal Protection Confirmation: We expressly confirm that all third-party AI services with which data is shared provide the same or equal protection of user personal data as stated in this Privacy Policy. Specifically:

• All transmissions are secured via industry-standard TLS / HTTPS encryption in transit.

• Content is processed transiently in memory solely to generate detection responses.

• No AI Model Training: None of the third-party AI services retain or use customer data submitted via their APIs to train, retrain, or improve their artificial intelligence or machine learning models.

• Data is not stored permanently on third-party servers.

E. User Permission and Control

The App requires explicit user permission before transmitting any personal data or content to third-party AI services:

• In-App Permission Prompt: Before analyzing any image, text, or video, the App presents a clear disclosure and requests explicit user permission ("Allow & Analyze").

• Right to Revoke: You can review your consent status or revoke AI sharing permission at any time within the App via Settings → Third-Party AI & Privacy or the Privacy screen.

• No Advertising: The App does not contain third-party advertisements or ad-network SDKs.

• No Behavioral Tracking: We do not track your activity across other companies' apps or websites. We do not access the Apple Advertising Identifier (IDFA).

• No Analytics SDKs: The App contains no third-party telemetry, crash tracking, or user-behavior monitoring frameworks.

The App requests only the minimal system capabilities necessary for functionality:

• Photo Library Picker: Uses Apple's out-of-process system picker (PhotosPicker). The App only receives access to the specific photo or video you select; it does not have blanket read or write access to your broader photo library.

• Files and Documents: Uses Apple's security-scoped document picker to read user-selected PDF or plain text files.

The App does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. The App is a general-audience content analysis utility.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this document. We encourage users to periodically review this page.
